CADA members gathered together to learn more about
CADA and the AADA.
We enjoyed tons of delicious treats provided by the CADA presidency. We all had a serious sugar high by about half way through the night!
Members from the Alliance to the Ohio Dental Association came to share their knowledge with us as well. Connie Karlowicz talked about current legislation and how to become more involved and aware of issues that can effect our spouse's future practice. Sue showed us some fun ideas for dental health education and where to find resources. Eva Carpenter briefly reviewed the AADA website and how to apply for conference grants.
| Sue showed us a great hands-on activity to help teach kids the effects of meth using a giant picture of the brain, bouncy balloons and paddle-balls. |
At the end we assembled gift bags full of dental products and activity books to give to the elementary students on our next school visit.
A presidency member of the AODA was so kind to make us each an adorable birdhouse to take home with us.
While cleaning up we played the Dice game from The Price is Right. CADA members had to guess the price of equipment and supplies that their spouses use everyday in school. Winners received gift cards to Cold Stone Creamery.
