On February 28th we hosted A Toothy Affair for the 2nd year in a row at the Lee Rd library. We are making this an annual event for CADA. We had dental information for all walks of life along with free toothbrushes and plenty of games, prizes and activities for the kids to help them learn the importance of taking care of their teeth for life.

Showing how to properly floss teeth

We were so lucky the Tooth Fairy came and visited with all the children giving out prizes and showing kids how to brush their teeth. She also read stories every hour.
Our display table for seniors featuring info on dry mouth, dentures, oral cancer and options on how to alter toothbrush handles for Seniors who can't "grip".

Some of our wonderful
CADA volunteers

We had a continuous movie about what to expect at your first trip to the dentist.

Display for babies and toddlers featuring how to avoid baby bottle rot.

Display for kids featuring the importance of taking care of your teeth for life.

There were lots of coloring activities and a bookmark contest for the elementary age kids. The bookmarks had to have a positive message about tooth care. The top three winners
received gift cards to Borders books and got to have their bookmarks printed and distributed at the library and their school.

Story time with the Tooth Fairy

General display about tooth care featuring the sugar content per serving in many popular foods. People were so
surprised at how much sugar they were eating.

Display table for Teens and Adults featuring information to stop smoking and the dangers of chew tobacco. We had a display to show the sugar content per serving in popular drinks.
